Digital x-rays use a fraction of the radiation traditional x-rays require. The images are available instantly, without a need for development. We can then see a clear and detailed view of the patient’s jaw and teeth. We can also use an intraoral camera, which gathers images of the teeth and gums with comfort and ease. Using technology, we can uncover the earliest signs of periodontal disease, tooth decay, or even oral cancer.
Common General Dental Treatments
- Gum Disease Treatment: If we uncover gum disease in the early stages we can address the issue with a deep cleaning. Using an ultrasonic scaler and a root planing we remove plaque buildup from the surface of the teeth and roots. A deep cleaning also brightens the teeth and can help the patient obtain fresher breath.
- Bonded Fillings: If a patient has a cavity we can restore the tooth with a filling. Made from the same material we use in dental bonding procedures, the filling contains no metal and matches surrounding tooth structure.
