Learn and Play in Rochester Today
Homework Help: If your child needs help with homework then you can receive assistance from the Rochester Public Library, 101 2nd Street SE. For more information, contact Children’s Services at 507-328-2303. They can help all grades Monday through Thursday 6pm until 9pm throughout September.
Spanish Class: Children graces three through six can enjoy an eight-week Spanish class. Jackie Thompson is a certified K-12 Spanish instructor and provides classes out of her home. Climbing Class: The Prairie Walls Climbing Gym will be offering classes for adults and children of all ages. The two-hour class teaches the basic of climbing. Classes are held on Saturday from 2pm until 4pm and Tuesday from 6pm until 8pom. Tuition is $40 for adults with kids 12 and older and $20 for adults with children under the age of 11. After completing the class you will, receive a free day pass. Reservations are required.
Community Workout: Each week a different instructor will provide a unique work out experience for the entire family. Participants will need to meet at Solder’s Field track. Nature Nuts: The Quarry Hill Nature Center will be providing nature themed classes for children. You can register for a single class or a series. They meet from 10am until 11am at 701 Silver Creek Road, N.E.
