What’s Happening in Rochester?
Yoga and Mindfulness for Kids: Certified kids yoga instructor and registered yoga teacher Chersten Keillor will be teaching Yoga and Mindfulness for Kids on March 3rd. The class starts at 5pm and last until 6pm. You can register online at www.rochesterfranciscan.com or by calling Angie Grimm at 507-280-2195. The class is for ages 8 thru 1. Classes take place at the Assisi heights Spirituality Center 1001 14th Street NW.

Lacrosse Camp: LaxJam is a free lacrosse camp for children in grades 2-5. Camp takes place on March 3rd from 5:30pm until 6:30pm at the RCTC Dome at 851 30th Ave SE. Register online by emailing ralaxboard@gmail.com. You will need to provide your child’s name, gender, and grade. For more camp information visit www.ralax.org.
International Festival of Owls: Learn about owls at the International Festival of Owls fro March 4th until the 6th in Houston, Minnesota. There will be face painting, owl calling contests, pellet dissection, owl nest box construction, and story time. You can also enjoy a pancake breakfast and a game show. Admission for adults is 8 and kids ages 4 to 17 is $5. Admission is free for children 3 and younger. If you are a member of the International Owl Center than admission is free.
Pink the Rink: To raise breast cancer awareness, the Rochester Recreation Center’s ice rink will be dyed pink. There will be hockey and fundraising, all benefiting a local cause. The event takes place on March 4th at 7:05 pm.
