Community Events
- WinterFest: From now until February 12th the city of Rochester will be presenting WinterFest. Held every year in February, this event celebrates winter sports and activities, letting people have fun in the chilly weather. Events include Beat the Winter Blues Bash 2017, Think and Do Family Free Day, Minnesota Children’s Museum First Free Sunday, WinterFest Book Sale, Youth Ice Fishing Contest, Polar Plunge, and more. You can visit www.rochesterwinterfest.com to see what’s happening and where. Remember, many of these events will only be available this weekend, so plan accordingly!
- Social Ice: Rochester’s Ice Bar is open from February 16th until the 18th, 5pm until 9pm on Thursday and 4pm until 10pm on Friday and Saturday. The bar is located at the Peace Plaza and is free to the public. The bar features seven different ice bars each with their own theme and drink, as well as lighting effects, music, and ice sculptures. There will be a large selection of wine and beer as well. Each night features a new DJ performing live and a photo contest. The themed bars include Jurassic Pub, The Addams Family, 8-Bit Video Game, Beauty and the Beast, Prince, The Little Mermaid, and The Great Gatsby.
