Community Events in Rochester, MN
- Go for the Gold: Go for the Gold is a race that benefits Brighter Tomorrows. The event takes place at Silver Lake (7th Street NE) on Saturday, July 8th. The 5K will take place at 8:30am, the 3K family fun walk is at 8:35am, and the children’s races are at 10:30am. You will need to register beforehand.
- Nature Sun Catchers: Chester Woods Park (8378 Highway 14 East. Eyota, MN) will be hosting Nature Sun Catchers on Saturday, July 8th at 1pm. The event is open to children between the ages of four and eight. There will be a hike to collect materials to make a sun catcher. Fun for the whole family! - Campfire Cooking: The Oxbow Park/Zollman Zoo will be hosting a campfire cooking event on Saturday, July 8th at 6pm. You will learn how to cook a meal, including ingredients, prep, cooking techniques, and tasting.
- Moonlight Paddle: On Saturday, July 8th you can go to Chester Woods Park (8378 Highway 14 East, Eyota, MN) for a Moonlight Paddle at 8:45pm. You can bring your kayak or canoe for a late night and moonlight paddle. If you don’t have a canoe or kayak, you can enjoy a late night guided hike to the dam.
