Rochester Charity Golf Tournament
This past Friday, Dr. Calcagno and Dr. Heimer’s Practice Administrator, Kimberly, competed in the 36th Annual Swing Your Birdie Golf Classic. This year’s event was Kimberly’s ninth tournament. 100 percent of the donations and proceeds from the tournament benefit Rochester’s Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House provides housing for families who travel many miles away from home to obtain medical treatment for their children. Many families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House have children who are patients at the Mayo Clinic. Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House meet other families experiencing similar medical hardships. They are able to share their experiences and support each other during this difficult time. Last year’s event raised nearly $42,000. This year’s event at the Willow Creek Golf Course included a silent auction and various course contests.
