At Calcagno Cosmetic and Family Dentistry, we believe we live in a fun and active community. We like to take time in our blog to remind our patients and readers about everything happening in our city and surrounding communities. There are events for adults, children, and the entire community you can take advantage of.
Local Events
Cave Tour and Historic Hike: The Quarry Hill Nature Center will be hosing a cave tour and hike on January 10th and 24th at 1:30pm. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for kids. You will learn about the cave, which was carved in 1882, as well as other historic aspects of the park. You can register by calling 507-328-3950.
Youth Rec Climbing Club: Roca Climbing will be hosting a youth recreation climbing club every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30pm until 6pm. Kids can come by after school and will be supervised by a staff member. Harnesses are included and the event is recommend for kids between the ages of 5 and 14. Walk-ins are welcome but you can also reserve a spot by calling 507-218-1500. You don’t need to have previous climbing experience.
Mothers and More: Meetings occur on the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm at the Rochester People’s Food Co-op (519 First Avenue SW in the Community Room). You can two events before being required to join the organization. For more information you can visit www.rochmoms.org.
Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun: Love & Logic will be offering classes at the Zumbro Lutheran Church, located at 624 Third Avenue, SE. Classes include “Early Childhood Parenting Made Easy” (covering ages birth to six) and “Parenting the Love and Loci Way” (for parents of kids of all ages).
