Don’t feel like you have to live with tooth loss. There are many options available to help improve your smile and replace your missing teeth. For example, we offer both dental bridges and dental implants. Which option is best for your smile? Who qualifies for dental implant placement?
Dental Bridge
A dental bridge is designed to address more minor cases of tooth loss, such as one to three teeth in a row. The prosthetic consists of your new teeth with a crown attached to each end. The crowns are then placed onto prepared natural teeth on either side of the gap in your smile, anchoring the new teeth firmly in place. They can last for between 10 and 15 years, but do require periodic replacement as the jaw changes shape.
Dental Implants
A dental implant is made from biocompatible titanium and inserted into the jawbone, bonding with the jawbone like a natural tooth root through a process known as osseointegration. The new tooth is then topped with a lifelike restoration. The new tooth can last a lifetime with proper care and attention, as the new root stimulates jawbone growth to prevent the jawbone form changing shape.
Implant Bridges
We can also place multiple dental implants to secure the new teeth. For example, we can create a dental abridge that is fixed in place with dental implants. We can also secure a full denture if necessary. If you have any questions about addressing tooth loss, or which of our prosthetics will be right for you, then contact our office today. We want to help you enjoy a full and beautiful smile, protecting your oral health in the process.
