As part of our dedication to providing high-quality dental care to all of our patients, we offer same day dental crowns using the highly-advanced CEREC dental restoration system. If you need a dental crown, then you may be eligible to receive a CEREC same day crown instead of waiting days or weeks for one to be crafted and then placed.
How Does CEREC Work?
CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, and involves technology that allows us to carefully measure, craft, and place lifelike porcelain dental crowns in our office, in a single day. Your teeth and mouth will be measured using digital imaging technology, and the digital measurements will be sent to an onsite milling machine to craft the custom crown. Rather than sending the measurements to a trusted dental lab and waiting for the crown to be made and sent back, CEREC’s CAD-CAM technology lets us restore your tooth in just a couple of visits.
Who Qualifies?
If you qualify for a porcelain dental crown, then you likely qualify for a CEREC same day crown. For instance, a CEREC crown may be recommended if you have a tooth that is;
- Chipped
- Cracked
- Stained or discolored
- Treated with a dental filling, or with root canal therapy
- Lost or knocked out (a dental crown can be attached to a dental implant to replace a lost tooth)
