At Calcagno Cosmetic and Family Dentistry we like to remind our patients about fun upcoming events in the community. With summer in full swing the heat can become unbearable. But staying inside can quickly lead to cabin fever, especially for little ones. Fortunately, there are a number of fun activities for the entire family to help you escape the heat and have a great time.
Escape the Heat!
Paragon Free Summer Movies: Paragon’s Chateau 14 Theater will be screening free children’s movies all summer on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays at 10am. This week they will be showing The Croods. Remember, the event is first come first serve so be sure to arrive early.
Prairie Walls Climbing Gym: You and your children (12 and older) can enjoy a two-hour introductory course on climbing. You will learn everything you need to know about technique and safety. Kids 11 and younger will require their parents to belay them. Kids 12 and older will be $40 per child, which includes all rental equipment. 11 and younger will cost $20 per child. The event will be held from 6pm until 8pn on Tuesdays and 2pm until 4pm on Saturdays.
Toddler Tuesday: A Children’s Kingdom will be hosting toddler Tuesdays tomorrow at 10:30am. If the weather is nice it will outdoors, otherwise playtime will happen indoors. Your little one will play with bubbles and practice counting. They are located at 1621 North Broadway. You can call 507-289-2287 for more information.
Storytime: ABC and Toy Zone will be hosting a free storytime at the Miracle Mile Shopping Center Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 10:30am.
Summer Fun at the Library: Bring your entire family to the Rochester Public Library on Wednesdays at 10am for fun activities, which may include magic, marionettes, music, and a visit from the RAD Zoo.
