At Calcagno Cosmetic and Family Dentistry we like to use our blog to remind those in our community about upcoming events and celebrations. With Halloween around the corner, there are a lot of spooky activities for you and your family to take part in. We also want to remind people to limit their candy consumption and to be sure and schedule a checkup and cleaning after the festivities!
Halloween-Related Community Events
Harvest Moon Fall Festival: On October 15th you can take your family to the Harvest Moon Fall Festival at 1195 W Circle Drive SW. The festival is from 1pm until 4pm and admission is $5 per child.
Fall Festival: The Red Barn Learning Farm will be hosting a fall festival on October 18th from noon until 5pm. Admission is $6 for kids ages and 2 and older. The farm is located at 27251 MN-30, Hayfield, MN 55940. You can call 507-365-8321 for more information.
Creatures of the Night: The Quarry Hill Nature Center will be hosting a “Creatures of the Night” event on October 16th and 17th from 4:15pm until 8pm. Admission is $8 and $6 for members. The nature center is located at 701 Silver Creek Road, NE and you can contact 507-328-3950 for more information. You will take a hike to see worms, opossums, and flying squirrels tell you about their life at night. There will be refreshments afterward at the nature center. The hike is not accessible to strollers and you will need to preregister.
Haunted Rochester Trolley Tour: Rochester has a long history and a lot of ghost stories! The trolley will take you on a tour of the most haunted sites in the city. The tours take place October 16th through the 18th. Admission is $35 per person and you can call 507-421-0573 for more information. Tours last from 6pm until 9:30pm and begin at 201 4th Street SE.
