Community Events in 2016

In just a few days we finally leave 2015 behind us. As the new year dawns, there are a lot of fun activities happening in our community you can take part in. At Calcagno Cosmetic and Family Dentistry we want to remind our readers and patients about all the fun and exciting things happening in our community. The entire family can enjoy an eventful and memorable 2016.

Rochester, MN Community Events

Recycled Sculptures: The Children’s Museum of Rochester will be hosting a recycled sculptures event until Sunday January 3^rd at 1643 North Broadway, Ste A at the River Center Plaza. Using recycle materials children will create a unique 3D sculpture. Admission is $5.50 and children under one are free. For more information call 507-218-3100 or visit rochester.mcm.org. The museum is open from 9am until 5pm on Thursday and Friday, 9am until 7pm on Saturday and noon until 4pm on Sunday.

First Day Hike: Enjoy the first hike of 2016 on Friday, January 1^st. You can take part in the 20^th Annual Whitewater River Valley Christmas Bird Count. Everyone can attend, even if you have no birding experience. Participants need to meet at the Whitewater State Park at 8am. Hot beverages will be provided. At 1pm the First Day Hike begins, which is open to the entire family and takes people to fun locations off the beaten path. These can be picked up at the visitor center.

Kids Winter Cooking: The Hy-Vee at W. Circle Drive will be hosting a class to teach children ages 4 to 10 how to cook three winter meals. Admission is $10 per kid. Classes are offered on January 2^nd from 11am until noon and then 2pm until 3pm. You should register ahead of time by signing up at Customer Service today. For any questions call 507-292-6004.
