- Thursdays on First: The Rochester Downtown Alliance will be hosting Thursday on First from now until August 25th. The event takes place from 11am until 8:30pm at First Avenue SW and Peace Plaza. There are over 100 vendors offering food and arts and crafts. There will also be live entertainment each Thursday. You can bring your dog, but he/she must be on a leash. Admission is free. - National Night Out: On Tuesday, August 2nd be sure to meet your neighbors and your local police and sheriff’s departments by participating in National Night Out. This event is a great time for you to meet and become acquainted with your neighbors. You can also host your own event, using the opportunity to start a neighborhood watch, share safety and environmental tips, and enjoy some refreshments. - Olmsted County Fair: The Olmsted County Fair will take place from July 25th to July 31st in Rochester, MN. Visitors can enjoy exhibits, competitions, midway rides and amusement, and lots of fun foods and drinks. Admission is free! You can also see livestock exhibits, as well as an exhibit dedicated to baby animals.
