Have Fun Outdoors with the Entire Family
Summer Solstice Hike: Enjoy a fun walk through beautiful hiking trails to celebrate the longest day of the year. This will be held at Chester Woods Park on Sunday, June 21st 9am until 6pm. Admission is five dollars and the park is located at 8378 Highway 14 East, Eyota, MN. You can call 507-285-7050 for more information.
Nature Time at the Beach: Meet at the beach at Whitewater State Park to learn about local wildlife. Bring the entire family! The event will be on Monday, June 22nd from 1pm until 2pm. Free admission, but vehicles will need to have state park permits. If you have any information then please call 507-932-3007.
Good Natured Kids: The Quarry Hill Nature Center will be having Good Natured Kids classes for young children between the ages of three and hour on Tuesday June 23rd. This week’s activities will include s’mores, a scavenger hunt, and tips for having a great campout.
Shakespeare in the Park: The Minnesota SkyVault Theatre Company will be performing Romeo and Juliet at Soldier’s Field Park June 19th through June 22nd at 7pm. Admission is free but donations are encouraged.
Bird Banding Demo: Work with professional Bird Bander Greg Munson to learn how to catch, handle, and tag bird with special aluminum tags. The demo will be held on June 21st from 12:30pm until 2pm at the Whitewater State Park. Admission is free but permits for vehicles will be required. For more information call 507-932-3007.
