Ever wonder, “How do you fix discolored teeth?” Everyone wants a bright smile. A row of pearly whites can be a source of confidence and also a sign of good oral health. However, a variety of factors can lead to the onset of yellow or brown stains on the teeth. Fortunately, we have cosmetic procedures available to remove stains and brighten teeth.
Frequently Asked Questions About Fixing Discolored Teeth
Question: Do you offer teeth whitening?
Answer: Yes. With KoR Whitening, the patient comes to the office for an initial treatment and a final treatment. In between, the patient wears custom-made trays filled with a bleaching gel daily for about two weeks. You may wear them for 30 minutes to a few hours per day, depending on the cause and severity of your discoloration.
Question: How do you remove permanent stains?
Answer: Some stains don’t respond to traditional whitening methods. These typically form below the enamel, also known as intrinsic stains. We can mask them with a lifelike porcelain veneer or cosmetic bonding.
Question: Will cosmetic bonding mask stains as well?
Answer: Yes. Veneers mask stains with a restoration placed onto the front of the teeth. Cosmetic bonding does so with a composite resin placed onto the front of the teeth. The bonding material will be shaded to better blend with the rest of the smile.
Question: What can I do from home?
Answer: You can help reduce the severity of future teeth stains with proper dental maintenance. We suggest brushing and flossing properly every day. You should also have your teeth cleaned at least once every six months. If you have any questions about our whitening treatments then please contact our office today. We want to help you enjoy a brighter smile.
