1. Friends of OxBow’s Spring Fest: Friends of Oxbow will be hosting a Spring Fest on Saturday May 20^th from 11am until 3pm. Admission is free and the event will take place whether rain or shine. The event takes place at the Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo. There will be bounce houses, face/hair painting, birdhouse building, bear and otter feeding, and stuffed animal checkups performed by the Northern Valley Vets Clinic.
2. Heaven Can Wait: The Rochester Civic Theatre will be presenting Heaven Can Wait from May 19^th until June 4^th. The play was the basis of two successful films, 1943’s Here Comes Mr. Jordan and the 1971 remake, which netted Academy Award nominations. The show is recommended for people six and up.
3. Snakes of the Blufflands: On Saturday May 20^th from 1pm until 2pm Whitewater State Park will be hosting the Snakes of the Blufflands. You can learn about the 16 kinds of snakes that live in Minnesota’s blufflands. You can bring a camera to take pictures with one of the snakes!
4. Sensory Friendly Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Paragon Theater will be hosting a Sensory Friendly screening of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul on Saturday May 20^th at 10am. The screening will feature lights on and low music.
5. Bird Banding: On Sunday May 21^st Whitewater State Park will be hosting a Bird Banding event from 12:30pm until 2pm. You can watch Master Bird Bander Greg Munson handle, band, and release the birds.
