Rochester’s annual WinterFest events will begin soon! While the weather can be tough on everyone this time of year, the many special events taking place during WinterFest can encourage everyone to take some trips out to experience community fun. This year’s events will be held at various locations in the Rochester area, and will take place between Thursday, January 24 and Sunday, February 24. WinterFest is a great way to transition between the holiday season and the new year. WinterFest Activities Happening In January:
While WinterFest offers a month of fun activities, we have a selection of activities being held in January!
- On January 24, the Charter House Parkside Art Gallery is working with WinterFest on its opening of the ‘Legacy’ exhibit, from artists Teaki Garcia and Simon Huelsbeck. Pianist Marilyn Carriere will provide live music during the event.
- Channel One Regional Food Bank will work with Hy-Vee for a special macaroni and cheese food drive. Between January 26 and January 27, the stores hope to collect at least 9,000 boxes!
- On January 26, the Rochester Public Library will welcome visitors to a special Wit, Wisdom, And Wine event coordinated with WinterFest. This event will feature special speakers, a silent auction, along with wine and hors d’doeuvres for guests.
